TRANSMISSION AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORK EXPANSION

The ZENT Projects division currently carries out the design and construction of substations and lines up to 132Kv.  System development plans in the medium term require capacity up to 400Kv which ZENT intends to match. ZENT manufacturing Division supplies the equipment and transformers needed in the construction of substations and lines. There is need to strengthen the manufacture of these items. ZETDC currently has 305 000 potential clients awaiting connections while the National electrification rate stands at 53% against a targeted rate of 72% by 2030.
